All our dogs go to school. I teach obedience on a volunteer basis for our local all breed kennel club. It is so handy to take youngsters to class for socialiaztion. At an early age any pups "hanging around unsold" attend classes even if just to sit tied to the centre pole and get used to the commotion, dogs and people. At the same time they get used to car rides, stairs, crates, all as part of the going to school process.
I expect our breeding stock to have a least a "CD" and they either have it or are working toward getting it. If we buy an older dog they usually have their CD within a year of joining the Winning Ways family - even if they are 4 or older. Aero got his first leg of his CD at 10 months.
